Description

Snow falls softly over Belvoir Castle, where a glittering Christmas house party promises music, laughter, and holiday magic. For Lady Elizabeth Breckenridge, it may also offer one last chance to find the kind of love she has always longed for—deep, honest, and lasting. After two disappointing Seasons, Elizabeth has grown weary of charming smiles and empty courtship. She wants more than admiration. She wants a man who will truly see her. Everett St. Giles, Earl of Brookfield, has long believed himself too reserved—and far too practical—for romance. Yet from the moment he meets Elizabeth beneath the mistletoe, something shifts. What begins as a spark of attraction soon deepens into a connection neither of them can ignore. Amid candlelit festivities, whispered wishes, and snow-draped winter nights, Elizabeth and Everett find themselves drawn ever closer. But even during Christmastide, love asks for courage—and the greatest gifts are often the ones that require risking the heart. A warm, swoony Regency holiday romance filled with festive charm, longing glances, family warmth, and a love story as magical as Christmas itself.

Holiday novella. Lady Elizabeth and the Earl of Brookfield are two ridiculously attractive people who hit it off at a holiday house party. Very sweet.

This is a charming romance about two people who meet at a Christmastide party. They have a kiss under the mistletoe, enjoy the party together, and wish on the Yule Log. Lady Elizabeth Breckenridge wishes for true love, as does Everett St. Giles, Earl of Brookfield. Do wishes come true? It’s Christmas; of course, they do. A sweet story. It was a sweet story about two people that desired true love finally finding one another during a Christmas house party. There was very little steam toward the end so this would still be a good option for those that like a clean romance. I would have enjoyed more private interactions between Everett and Elizabeth to help support their connection. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
