Anne morrow Lindbergh was a brave and conflicted woman of her times. The writing brings you there and you feel for the love, the loss, the contradictions of the time.

This was a fascinating read. I loved the way it was woven together. I loved the tension the author created between Charles and Anne. I was fascinated by the control issues Charles demonstrated and questioned why Anne allowed him to dictate every aspect of her life and that of the children. It seems to me this would be an excellent book for a discussion group. Was it the time in our history that swayed her to be so compliant or was it misplaced adoration? The author was right, the book stimulated a greater interest in me for more information about this remarkable couple.

I was disappointed in the quality of the writing. Lacked sophistication. Sounded like it was written for a teenage girl. Nevertheless, I enjoyed learning about Anne Morrow Lindbergh. I sympathized with her and it was great to hear her story from her point of view.

Good read that really does transport you. I can easily imagine myself in the cockpit with the two of them. Romantic and sad for so many reasons

I had no idea this book would be as compelling as the other books I have read about the Lindberg's. It turned out to be my favorite of all. I too married a pilot at a very young age and then learned to fly. I too lost this great love of mine to cancer when I was in my 40's. I have struggled since to be happy and to fly without him and this book helped me to understand many of my own feelings about my marriage, my life and most of all my passion for flight. Great read...I loved it.
