Bizarre 1940s Marriage Handbook

If you aren’t religious and aren’t easily brainwashed, this book won’t interest you. I couldn’t get past the 1st Chapter. Religious abuse dressed up as empowerment.
This could be called “how to justify abuse”

I’ve only had the stomach to read bits and pieces, and all of it seems to just be justification for being put in an abusive, controlled relationship.

This is nonsense

This is an absurd book that parades around pretending to empower women with their true place. How empowering can it be when that place it proposes is subservient to the husband.
Further, the author frequently employs false logic to prove her points, often invoking her husband as an authority.
It's just not even thought provoking.
Must read!

Just started reading this book, so far it's great. I'm reading it with a group, two other girls, my grandma, and my mother in-law. We have all learned a lot from this book and we're only on the 5th chapter. Can't wait to read more. I would recommend reading this book with a group because you learn something from each person. If I were to read it on my own I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. I give this book 5 stars!
